What I Did

I decided to keep the Victorian edging stones and use blue bricks to tie in with these. The area at the bottom of the back garden was unsecure and a bit of a mess.

I constructed a feather edge fence and gate, removed an old tree stump and all the shrubs, then constructed 3 raised beds, using purple slate for the paths in between. At the side I made a wooden frame with netting to give the raspberries some protection.

Liz and Garon needed to improve the front path to make it more accessible because the old gravel path was very difficult to negotiate.

"Simon has done a variety of hard landscaping jobs for us and we have been delighted with them all.

He works to a very high standard with a good finish. He offered helpful advice and ideas and worked hard when he was here (fuelled by biscuits). Added to all that, he's a delight to have around."

I created a  decking area that had to be secure because of their children and included a balustrade for extra safety. Decking lights were also incorporated to light up the deck at night.

What I Did

Ben & Helen required a deck which had a larger seating area for entertaining and relaxing on than the one they had.

"Simon came last summer to build a gated trellis across the bottom of our garden and then back again to build a large deck on the back of the house.

His work is of a high standard with obviously good materials completed on time and as per budget, worked through almost any weather as well. Would not hesitate to ask him back or recommend to friends which I have already."

I discussed combining a new water feature with a rockery, bamboo to screen off the fence and alpine type planting. Lights were added to point at the plants to give a stunning effect when sitting out in the evening.

What I Did

Anita and Ranjit wanted to create a lovely planting area next to their patio.

The old pond was engulfed by the surrounding conifers and everything was a bit dark and overgrown.

"It was a pleasure to have a section of my garden landscaped and designed  by Simon.

He is creative with his designs and has a great understanding of plants and how they work with stones etc."

The hardwood deck is the centre piece, used as a seating area and surrounded by wild meadow, grasses, shrubs and various herbs, to provide a variety of colour and fragrances.
